The Executive Council Office is the centre of excellence for the Government of Yukon. We are leaders in the modernization of government standards and processes. We provide central strategic advice to advance government priorities through policy development, communications, intergovernmental relations, Indigenous relations, major project management, youth initiatives, Indigenous and scientific knowledge and by supporting the Water Board and the Commissioner's Office. We also provide direct support to the Premier and Cabinet.

The opportunity…

The Executive Council Office is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who approaches problem-solving collaboratively, respects diverse perspectives and demonstrates commitment to professionalism through leadership, dedication and integrity.

This position is responsible for managing the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of Executive Council Office's comprehensive information management (IM) program, IT, and system development. The Manager also provides all of these services to the Cabinet Office and Office of the Commissioner.

The position provides strategic oversight, advice, and recommendations to the department related to the above systems and programs and in respect of applicable legislation and policies. It further provides corporate information management guidance and support.

Essential Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary program with focus in public administration, computer science, information management or related discipline
  • Considerable experience managing a comprehensive records management program
  • Considerable experience managing IT services and programs; including service desk and system development projects
  • Experience leading and implementing strategic projects
  • Experience in managing human, financial, and material resources

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
