The Department of Environment is a recognized leader in environmental stewardship, supporting a healthy, sustainable, and prosperous Yukon. Our Client, Business & Technology Solutions (CBTS) Branch provides innovative IT and operational support to help the department achieve its strategic environmental goals.
The Manager, Business & Information Technology Solutions (BITS) leads the BITS unit within CBTS, providing operational support for select technology solutions, including the prioritization, planning, and execution of IT initiatives, records and information management (RIM) solutions, and SharePoint support for the department.
This role combines information and technology leadership with development and operational support services to enable the department's strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include coaching and mentoring team members and managing the unit's financial resources.
The Manager, BITS also leads and coordinates the ongoing systems development services delivered by CBTS, managing medium to large-scale projects that improve the department's ability to generate and share information for decision-making.
