Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Applications Management, the Manager, Digital Applications provides strategic decision making, leadership and oversight to a portfolio of applications at AFSC. They must be business minded and able to leverage industry best practices to implement and maintain technology solutions (internally and externally) to deliver effective capabilities to AFSC.

They are responsible for ensuring their portfolio of enterprise applications operate optimally and at a high level of quality, security, and availability. This includes existing legacy technologies as well as progressive technologies.

The Manager of Digital Applications collaborates with the DS management team within the framework of AFSC Digital Service’s (DS) directions, objectives, standards, and policies and within industry, IT trends and standards.

  • Business Relationship management, team leadership, expand knowledge across AFSC. Income Stabilization is supported by a legacy application, over the next number of years there will be opportunities for setting the direction for these systems.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Leading a team of analysts, developers, administrators who provide stable applications for delivery of our programs. Key areas are Income Stabilization, Client Relationship Management and the Salesforce platform.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science or related field, or suitable combination of formal education and experience.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification required; ITIL Expert Certification preferred.
  • At least 6 years in a leadership role within a development and implementation of business solutions environment, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
  • Experience delivering and maintaining application solutions within a complex business environment and successfully contributing to projects that enable business optimization or transformation.
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and participate in multiple projects of diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment. Project Management Certification is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of business operations and processes.
  • Experience with Organizational Change Management.
