As Project Manager - Power Project Development & FEED, in this technical leadership role you will play a pivotal part in early development of large-scale renewables, storage, and T&D projects across Ontario and rest of Canada.

Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with Director - Power Markets-T&D to support and expand BBA's Power project services. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and execution of our exciting market segment. You will have a significant role supporting the development of national market strategy for the overall Power business.

Job Description:
As the Project Manager - Power Project Development & FEED, you will lead the strategic planning and initial engineering phases of power projects spanning T&D, storage and renewables sectors. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, management skills, and a deep understanding of the power sector and the T&D and renewables landscape. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess project feasibility, optimize design concepts, and prepare projects for execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the initial assessments and development of T&D, storage and renewables projects, considering technical, technological, interconnection and economic factors.
• Liaise with T&D customers, independent power producers (IPPs), generation developers, power utilities and regulatory bodies to build strong technical solutions and nurture long-term relationships.
• Lead the development of resourcing, engineering budgets, and project definition during the front-end engineering phase.
• Lead FEED studies with emphasis on value engineering, capex/ opex optimization and project performance improvements.
• Lead presentations, and communication for internal and external stakeholders, senior management, and permitting bodies.
• Own the power projects benchmarking database.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, mentorship and support to local and national engineering teams.
• Respond to customer Request for Proposals (RFPs) for strategic projects through creative thinking and alternative approaches and win-strategies.
• Act as subject matter expert in power markets providing crucial technical, markets and technology expertise.
• Accountable for delivery of project performance KPIs including cost and schedule metrics, quality and client satisfaction.
• Provide team innovation by bringing together knowledge, best practices and planning functions while working in conjunction with the Director - Power Markets - T&D to implement long-term market sector objectives and strategies.
