Your Contribution

Your core responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end management of varied projects of every scale. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare proposals and qualification packages;
  • Develop plans, schedules, and other project elements;
  • Carry out technical procedures and work plans;
  • Manage and/or draft all document deliverables for your projects;
  • Attend and/or lead project management, client, office, and team meetings;
  • Plan, monitor and supervise geotechnical investigations involving: exploratory drilling and/or wells, soil sampling, monitoring of well and piezometer installations, and in-situ testing;
  • Design, calculate and prepare deliverables for geotechnical studies of various sizes;
  • Process, compile and analyze data;
  • Carry out project administration tasks as required, including timesheet generation and project invoicing;
  • Supervise, support and/or mentor project team members;
  • Ensure all Englobe health & safety policies and procedures are rigorously followed, and take part in H&S inspections;
  • Market Englobe’s services by developing and taking part in business development initiatives for new clients and prospects.

Your Profile

Do you have what we’re looking for?

Here are the qualifications you must have for this role:

  • Academic: A university degree in geoligical engineering, civil engineering or related field; Must be a member of OIQ.
  • Experience: This role requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience.

These are the skills and expertise we’re looking for:

  • Superior document management abilities, and experience writing proposals, specifications, case studies, technical and non-technical reports;
  • Good written and verbal English skills, and superior communication skills;
  • Strong time management, organizational and multitasking skills;
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle;
  • Previous experience in an engineering environment, and with geotechnical drilling, settlement analyses, slope stability assessments, and civil construction would be an asset.

Lastly, this role is for you if you have the following soft skills and qualities:

  • Flexibility and adaptability with scheduling changes and available for overtime, evening, or weekend work during peak periods, as required;
  • Able to travel between worksites as required;
  • A strong commitment to consistently delivering high-quality work ;
  • Calm, consistent professionalism and objectivity to support colleagues and clients with varying needs;
  • Interest in mentoring/sharing knowledge and expertise with junior team members;
  • Tact and diplomacy to handle difficult situations and maintain positive working relationships.
