Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Montreal site is looking for a new Project Logistics Customer Excellence Specialist to join our Project Logistics team.
Your Role
You will oversee day-to-day operations for industrial customers of the Project Logistics department. You will also provide operational coordination for turn key EPC projects, project accounts and specialized one off special cargo movements.
Your Responsibilities
Arrange booking of cargo with carriers, internal service providers and agents in all modes of transport.
Develop and implement work with overseas counterparts a required.
Arrange all necessary documentation as may be necessary to meet project and shipment requirements.
Monitor and update daily shipment status to clients
Update transport management tracking systems as required.
Assist with invoicing and job costing where applicable.
Assist with safe project execution to the client's satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements.
Support the project team to ensure overall project delivery on time, within the budget by meeting highest standards set forth by Kuehne+Nagel and their customers in regards to Quality, Health and Safety, Security and Environment (QSHE).
Book supplier invoices and prepare customer invoices.
Ensure on-time file closure for month end financial ledger closing.
Ensure the project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements as requested by Kuehne+Nagel processes and Project / Operations Manager.
Provide assistance to customer's RFIs/RFQs.
Prepare individual quotations for budgetary and firm requests from assigned customers.
Prepare reports for management and customers (quote register and system dashboards).
Select and qualify vendors by following all QHSE vendor requirements and processes.
Trace lost or misdirected shipments and process potential damage claims.
Promote and sell transport insurance to customers when required.
Act as super user for Kuehne+Nagel transport management systems and train new staff.

Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
5+ years of experience in Freight forwarding managing Ocean Shipments
Bilingual in French and English is Mandatory
Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient in Word, Excel (maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint
