What makes this role important at Ipsos?

As a Market Research Manager, you will work with clients to understand their business issues and execute narrative based analyses to meet their needs. You will manage multiple projects from start to finish, including designing research approaches with senior team members, liaising with partners in Research Operations to execute projects, analyzing data to generate insights, developing recommendations, and creating compelling presentations that help illuminate the human behaviors behind the data. The Market Research Manager will report to the Vice President and join a team of curious-minded researchers and client partners.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Manage key clients for Ipsos syndicated consumption tracking studies across the Canada and US market in terms of day-today client request management, analytical rigor, and client growth.
  • Manage large datasets and databases of related syndicated research data.
  • Understand and address business needs/issues of respective clients.
  • Plan analyses and storyboard deep dive project.
  • Pull data from a large database, analyze it, and draw conclusions; lead/co-lead reports and presentations; make recommendations based on the insights that address the client's business needs.
  • Assist in proposal development with senior colleagues as needed.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects
  • Manage overall project profitability.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through exceptional service and consultation.

This might be the job for you if you have:

  • 5+ years relevant experience (supplier side market research preferred).
  • Knowledge of the Food and Beverage and BevAlc sectors heavily desired
  • Experience with using hierarchical or multi-level databases heavily desired
  • Knowledge of Infotools Harmoni, or Tableau a strong plus
  • Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills
  • Requires strong quantitative, research, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to turn data into insights through analysis and storytelling.
  • Ability to oversee and direct multiple projects.
  • Must be self-motivated and entrepreneurial (i.e., ability to think independently).
  • Intellectually curious with a desire to better understand the "why" behind the data.
  • Works well in a team environment with senior and junior colleagues.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to review the work of others for grammar, formatting, and voice.
  • Bachelor's Degree required - market research, marketing, and/or business coursework/programs are an asset.
