You as a Finishing Superintendent will:

  • Manage all construction activities with a specific focus on Architectural finishes and handover of complete spaces.
  • Develop and maintain schedules and punch lists for the installation of Architectural finishes, ensuring timely completion.
  • Inspect finishes for adherence to quality standards and construction documents.
  • Manage the deficiency process with subcontractors onsite and ensure timely completion of the work.
  • Oversee subcontractors and workers, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain project schedule.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of work performed.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in construction, specifically in architectural work and finishes.
  • Education: A degree/ diploma in construction management, architecture, or a related field is preferred. Consideration will be given to carpenters with experience.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in construction management or quality control are advantageous.
  • Extensive understanding of architectural finishes, materials, and techniques.
  • Ability to ensure precision in the installation and finishing of materials, high attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the finishing process.
  • Efficient in managing schedules and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Flexible in adapting to changes in project scope or materials.
