Reporting to the Manager, Patient Safety and Risk, the Patient Safety and Risk Advisor is responsible for leading and supporting system-wide and organizational efforts to ensure patient safety. Specifically, this role focuses on ensuring that patient care is provided in a safe manner for patients and care providers, and that professional and evidence based practices are utilized by the organization in a patient-centred manner. This includes working in partnership with health service providers and the organization’s contracted service provider organizations to developed shared approaches and strategies for patient safety. Leadership in key areas of enterprise clinical risk management, patient safety, ethical decision making, patient relations, and emergency management will be essential in this role.
The Patient Safety and Risk Advisor will demonstrate an understanding of quality, risk and patient safety principles and practices, following all safe practices and procedures to support a safe patient and working environment.
This is a temporary full time position in our London, St Thomas, Stratford, Woodstock or Owen Sound locations with an anticipated duration of twelve (12) months.
