In this role, the successful candidate will work directly with Telesat's Network Engineering team supporting Lightspeed System Development. The successful candidate will be required to will develop and manage IT project plans, including identify and document project requirements, risks, and dependencies. They will facilitate meetings, tasks assignments and follow-ups, as well as support new product development/ introduction process development.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engineering requirements gathering and documentation
  • TRD (technical requirements) and business requirements documentation development
  • Coordinating distribution of materials and actions to interdepartmental segments
  • Facilitating meetings, tasks assignments and follow-ups
  • Role will focus on internet services, lab program management, activities, implementations
  • Summarizing and communicating project statuses to various internal stakeholders
  • Familiarity with PLM, specifically NPD (new product development) and NPI (new product introduction) process development and management

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with project management, with a track record of successfully supporting complex technical projects
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and adept at tools like Jira for project tracking
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to navigate the complexities of a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working in a technical consulting role or working directly with stakeholders
  • Familiar with telecom industry and telecommunications products and services
  • Familiarity with satcom would be strong asset

DECISION MAKING & SUPERVISION

  • This role has no direct reports but will work and interact with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
