This job is exclusively for Coop Students who are enrolled in a recognized post-secondary co-operative education.
The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery, implementation and evaluation of the City of Ottawa’s Emergency Management Program (which includes Continuity of Operations) consistent with corporate strategic direction and corporate vision. The Office of Emergency Management ensures the safety of all residents and visitors by managing the framework through which the City coordinates planning and readiness activities to better respond to the needs of the community during an emergency situation. The City of Ottawa’s Emergency Management Program is governed by Ontario’s Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.
You are responsible for performing various activities associated with the support of emergency management framework, including research, data analysis, preparing documents, and participating as a team member in projects.
Enrolment in a recognized co-operative education program in emergency management studies or related field.
