Job Description:

We're revolutionizing our global contact centers across Canada, Asia, and the US with cutting-edge cloud and Generative AI (GenAI) technologies. We're seeking an experienced Program-level Scrum Master to lead our agile transformation and drive innovation across multiple teams.

The Scrum Master will report to the Assistant Vice-President, Contact Centre Platform and Engineering Practices.

As the Program Scrum Master for our Contact Center GenAI Initiative, you'll orchestrate the efforts of multiple cross-functional squads, each led by their own Scrum Master. Your role will be crucial in:

  • Implementing and scaling agile methodologies across the program

  • Fostering high-performing teams and promoting inter-squad collaboration

  • Driving innovation in cloud technologies and GenAI solutions

  • Ensuring seamless integration of DevOps practices and engineering standards

What you will do:

  • Oversee and coordinate program-level agile ceremonies
  • Mentor and coach squad-level Scrum Masters to enhance their effectiveness
  • Facilitate cross-squad dependencies and ensure alignment with program goals
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize program backlog
  • Champion agile principles and practices across the organization

What you need to succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in agile environments
  • Proven track record in large-scale agile transformations and multi-team coordination
  • Deep understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and software engineering best practices
  • Experience working with teams developing GenAI applications
  • Proficiency in agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Miro)
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Experience in insurance or financial industries (preferred)
  • Experience working with teams developing Contact Center solutions, particularly with Amazon Connect or CCaaS (preferred)

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
