WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The BCM Central Team supports all RBC businesses with incident management routines & real time incidents, employee mass communication tool usage, work area recovery testing & declarations, including further enhancing the teams mission statements . Playing a key role in the overall recovery site management, scheduling of testing, and maintenance of the solution by coordinating with other internal partners.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time efficient manner. Monitor and control activities according to plan.
  • Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate
  • Prepare business BCM Advisors for potential business disruptions through effective incident management guidance & routines, communication and reporting processes
  • Coordinates tactical BCM activities including:
    • Conducts BCM exercises to validate planning assumptions and test controls (including work area recovery, contact exercises and tabletop simulations as required)
    • Triage incident calls during assigned BCM Pager rotation, supporting global business units - 24/7/365 (including holidays)
    • Ability to travel to the different work area recovery locations within the GTA region, and support business operations with an onsite presence starting from 3-4 days/week
    • High availability and ability to support RBC 24/7/365
  • Conduct regularly schedule audits on recovery sites to maintain the integrity of the recovery solution, personnel access to the building, costs associated with activities & site design, and key stakeholder list

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • College or University degree in Business Administration, Technology, or BCM and Emergency Management (ABCP or CBCP)
  • High level of proficiency in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
  • Ability to lead and support large business incident management teams & projects
  • Proficiency in leveraging and using MS Office tools, Everbridge, and ServiceNow.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with supporting the RBC business units in an operations or technology related environment

Nice-to-have:

  • 5-10 year's experience in the BCM & Emergency Management
  • Minimum 5-10 year's experience in the Financial industry supporting business operations and/or Technology
  • Working with executives during incidents and business disruptions to restore to business as usual
