Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Organization Development, the Organization Development Specialist will support program development, implementation, and evaluation of OD initiatives and programs including DEI, Learning & Development, Recognition, Employee Engagement.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and will be based at our Head Office located in Markham, ON.

  • Supports implementation and ongoing delivery of OD programs including communications, administration, execution, and responses to inquiries

  • Conducts research, gathers information, and presents insights for range of OD program areas, supporting program leads and contributing to effective solutions and continuous improvement of processes and tools

  • Prepares materials such as presentations, program briefings, process maps, and forms, to enable project leads, sponsors, and stakeholders to make strategic and operational decisions, and to effectively operationalize and track programs

  • Handles intake for L&D requests and engages with business to conduct needs assessment for L&D initiatives, works with instructional designers to assess and recommend on program delivery methods, and timing

  • Learning partner to the business entailing facilitating meetings, presentations, status updates, focus groups, developing materials, maintaining awareness, and acting on stakeholder feedback

  • Collaborates with L&D team members to plan, and implement optimization of Workday LMS

  • Supports L&D team with creating LMS campaigns, troubleshooting, and reporting

  • Evaluates program and learning effectiveness through development of knowledge checks, measurement of engagement, and facilitating approach for reporting on each

  • Prepares and maintains project plans and files for multiple OD initiatives including L&D deliverables. Engages with key stakeholders and reports on project status and updates

  • Leverages the use of technology-enabled solutions to further program effectiveness and enhance the employee experience

  • Familiar with and administers OD technology and tools (including engagement survey, LMS, Smartsheet) and ensures requirements and specifications are reflected in project plans

  • Stays abreast of OD principles including diversity, equity, inclusion, and incorporates learnings into approach and development of OD programs

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Organization Development, Human Resources Management, Business, or Adult Education preferred

  • At least 2 years in OD, L&D or Human Resources special projects/program implementation

  • Demonstrated knowledge in 2 or more OD specialties': Learning & Development , Behavioral Sciences, Organizational Culture, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Recognition, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Business Partnering

  • Experience in program management and administration

  • Experience creating infographics, or job aids, and using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud products such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Articulate 360 an asset

  • Experience working with different LMS including Workday highly preferred

  • Effective consultation and communication skills working with multiple stakeholders

  • Proven project management ability across multiple deliverables

  • Experience of program evaluation and reporting on outcomes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying needs, proposing solutions, and organizing large scale or complex information

  • Flexible team player able to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Skilled communicator, ability to work with diverse stakeholders at all levels of an organization

  • Ability to research, leverage, and operationalize best practices
