Responsible for the assigned projects from inception through to completion in Nuclear or Energy Projects
Develop new project plans in consultation with stakeholders, including clients
Direct the human and material resources required to complete assigned projects successfully
Formulate a resource allocation strategy and utilize this to distribute work and budgets
Exercise authority in managing the work and controlling the delivery of the projects per project plans
Monitor project staff performance to ensure excellence and adherence to specified deadlines
Review and ensure observance of the overall scope, schedule, and budget
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans
Lead the tracking, monitoring, and reporting on performance against project requirements, schedule, milestones, budgets, quality measures, and KPIs, and addressing of issues with corrective actions as appropriate
Evaluate the project's effectiveness by consulting with clients and project staff
Oversee staff on progress reports, proposals, and presentations to various audiences, including the project team, client executives, key stakeholders, and operations
Direct the negotiation of scope changes
Manage ongoing quality control checks and participate in quality issue resolution
Define the success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project and program life cycle
Set and interpret project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders

Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 18 years of experience in Nuclear or Energy Project Management
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for security clearance at a nuclear facility in Canada. This includes, but is not limited to, having a minimum of 5 years of verifiable work experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Licenses OR Certifications:
Holding a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Skills and Competencies:
Expert grasp of prevailing Project Management methods in Nuclear or Energy
In-depth understanding of tools and metrics needed to evaluate nuclear project performance
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
Proficient in Project Management software
Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership
Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities with a track record for meeting deadlines
Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal) in a demanding multidisciplinary project environment
Expert ability to detect, capitalize, and be sensitive to others' strengths
Demonstrated capability to supervise, delegate, and develop capacity
Proven capacity to anticipate, identify, and minimize risks
Effectively lead multi-resource Project Management teams
Ability to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension
