To better support project and client development in the GTA area, you'll work in our multidisciplinary office and will be part of a team of professionals committed to the success of our mandates. By joining our team, your role as a Project Engineering Graduate will be to contribute to preparing proposals, project planning, coordination of project related tasks, support in preparing project reports, assist in budget monitoring, and maintain positive communications with stakeholders and clients. Additionally, you'll apply your technical expertise and knowledge as well within projects to support our client's needs.

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress against timelines
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and drive project scoping, planning, execution, and closeout

Change Management and Documentation:

  • Assist Project Manager and team members in handling project changes
  • Prepare decision documents to assess options for project success, considering costs and schedules

Proposal and Contract Management:

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and bid packages
  • Initiate and manage contracts, including payments and change orders

Information Preparation and Coordination:

  • Coordinate the preparation of project-related information and alternatives for input into planning
  • Maintain awareness of project-specific requirements and procedures for control and administration

Reporting and Meetings:

  • Support Project Manager with regular project reports and participate in progress meetings
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes

Budget Monitoring and Control:

  • Assist in budget monitoring and control activities
  • Assist with all aspects of project planning, including schedule, budget, cost, and risk

Communication and Stakeholder Management:

  • Coordinate communication between the project team, stakeholders, and clients
  • Keep all project parties informed of the latest scope, budgets, and schedule

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Technical coordination: Facilitate communication among engineering teams, ensuring collaboration and information flow, participate in design reviews, ensuring alignment with client and project requirements
  • Work with engineering teams to identify and resolve technical challenges that may arise during project execution

Overview of job requirements

  • Must have a completed Engineering Degree (ideally Electrical, but other disciplines will be considered)
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in project engineering or a related field
  • Any relevant education in administration, project management and combination of work experience will be considered
  • Have a strong interest in fast-paced, challenging work environments where showing initiative and self motivation are assets
  • Prior experience in engineering projects is considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Strong communication skills, collaboration abilities, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to responsibly work independently without supervision or in groups
  • Outstanding time management skills and commitment to meeting client deadlines
  • Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
