Who we're looking for:


Rogers is seeking a Project Manager responsible for delivering wireless Real Estate to support network implementation deployments. Reporting to the Manager of Real Estate and Municipal Affairs, the primary focus of this position is to successfully manage the acquisition and execution of a large variety of Network and Business initiatives on the Rogers Access Network. Wireless projects will include Uplifts, Augments, modernizations, fibre builds to wireless sites.
The successful candidate will be tactical, a strong communicator, have a deep understanding of the current Network business structure and the Real Estate requirements associated with those structures, and have the analytical and legal skills to bring forward-thinking ideas to life.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and monitor the progress of multiple, large scale Real Estate Acquisition projects.
  • Plan and facilitate cross-functional team meetings to ensure that all project deliverables and critical dates are met.
  • Assign and manage internal/external Site Acquisition Specialists, Municipal Specialists, and all required Consultants/Contractors, and interface with Landlords directly where required.
  • Drive projects through design, site acquisition, lease, development stages to enable network implementation to construct or upgrade sites.
  • Review legal contracts and agreements to ensure accuracy and to ensure they are in alignment with Rogers’ legal standards.
  • Support the development of Business Cases, Commitment Authorizations, and Business Requirements for Senior Leadership approval.
  • Partner with functional teams i.e.: Planning, Engineering, Operations groups to ensure that all process development, testing, communication, job-aids, training, documentation, etc. are delivered prior to launch, as well as, throughout construction, testing and implementation.
  • Provide management with regular project status updates and escalate issues where appropriate to ensure that all critical dates are met.
  • Accountable for New Site portfolio and bringing Sites to a Ready to Build status.
  • Track and manage milestone dates, ensuring projects are continuously moving forward with tasks completed in a timely fashion.
  • Develop and implement action plans to clear issues that may be preventing a project from progressing.
  • Responsible for the management and approval of financial items
  • Ensure adequate communications between all stakeholders.
  • Generate reports for Stakeholder/Management review.
  • Facilitate meetings and/or conference calls as needed.
  • Conduct and document post-implementation reviews.

What you bring:

  • Well versed in project management concepts and applications.
  • 3-5 years Project Management experience wireless implementations.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, decision-making and dispute resolution skills.
  • 3 to 5 years of legal contractual knowledge, ideally related to Telecom Real Estate contracts.
  • Highly motivated and very proactive individual.
  • Gathers relevant information quickly, makes timely decisions and responds to challenges decisively.
  • Strategic-thinker, with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Strong collaborative relationship management skills with a variety of stakeholders including landlords, independent telecommunications consultants, tenants, contractors, building managers, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skill.
  • Working knowledge of Project management tools such as MS Office/Project.
  • PMP, RCDD certification(s), RF, Fiber and/or structured cabling experience a definite asset
  • Post-secondary education in a business, technical or related discipline preferred.

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week. You can choose which days in office work best for you!
