At the Safety Branch of the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration, we are responsible for delivering effective and efficient regulatory management for the protection of the public and workers' safety through education, outreach, inspection and enforcement, equipment registration, permits, and licenses. Our staff of over 115 employees, located throughout Nova Scotia, do this by using the Pathways to Compliance to enhance compliance of provincially regulated employees, employers and contractors through setting, promoting, verifying and enforcing requirements under various pieces of legislation.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will report to the Manager of Information and Analytics Solutions, Strategic Planning and Accountability Division, Safety Branch. The Information and Analytics Solutions section is responsible for providing Branch wide information and systems services and support based on an Information Management model that improves operational and strategic decision making, ensuring appropriate governance by adhering to the vision and mission of the Safety branch.
You will be the first point of contact for program leads, management and senior executives who require information, analytics and system business analysis services such as definition of a need, requirement gathering, user research, analysis, business case and recommendations.
This may be the right opportunity for you if you have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years related experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience) working at the Business Analyst level.

Salary Range: $3,107.16 - $3,649.33 Bi-Weekly
