About the role
Join the Monitoring and Reporting team in the Housing Program Sector Operations in the Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting position. In this role, you will lead the creation, validation, and ongoing monitoring activities to evaluate data quality, performance, and regulatory compliance. You will manage the oversight of scheduled client data, dashboards, and reporting to guarantee that all information is accurately processed and delivered punctually. You will also produce Ad/hoc report, strategy and tangible actions mined from multiple data sources.

This is a temporary position for a duration of 18 months.

What you'll do:

  • Provide analysis using a variety of analytical techniques, approaches, and methods and identify issues and options to make logical, well-reasoned, and effective decisions.
  • Conduct complex analyses involving multiple stakeholders to identify trends, inform decision-making, and evaluate business opportunities and threats.
  • Support financial processes including annual budgets, multi-year forecasts, and compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations.
  • Produce comprehensive reports (annual, monthly, quarterly, ad hoc) and assist departments with problem-solving and transactional inquiries.
  • Prepare and communicate financial information for unit/department budgets, including financial reports and complex reconciliations.
  • Develop and analyze reports (financial, operational, regular, and ad hoc) requiring further analysis from various systems.
  • Participate in review of operational processes and policies to ensure sound and consistent financial analysis protocol and document procedures to ensure business continuity and knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Analyze various reports, data, and business process to ensure compliance with business logic.

What you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience in finance.
  • Good knowledge of the financial, legislative, and regulatory environment.
  • Good understanding of financial statements and general accounting principles.
  • Strong ability to gather and analyze information, synthesize key elements, and summarize with recommendations.
  • Solid communication and strong organization skills to participate on several projects.
  • An ability to work within a sophisticated technological environment using tools for visualization such as Power BI, Tableau.

It would be great if you also had:

  • A chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Bilingualism (French/English).
