The Manager of Rent Supplements is a critical leadership role, having a direct impact on the availability of safe, adequate, and affordable housing options for Nova Scotians. In this role, you are responsible for leading the delivery of the Rent Supplement Program across the province. You will guide and support your team in the implementation of rent supplement agreements with landlords, client income review, ensuring unit inspections, and ensuring payment of subsidy. You will also plan, develop, budget, and monitor the program.
As the Manager, of Rent Supplements, you will manage four regional rent supplement teams delivering on the Rent Supplement Program and provide expert advice to the senior management team. A few of your key responsibilities will include:
You have a bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or in a related field along with several years of related experience.

You possess strong leadership abilities and communication skills, both verbal and in writing. You are a collaborative leader and can foster partnerships and strong working relationships with a variety of professionals and stakeholders. You have a proven ability to provide inspirational leadership, individual and group supervision of staff, as well as direction, guidance, and coaching to your team.
Knowledge of housing programs and the Provincial Housing Agency is highly desirable. An understanding of the challenges, barriers and opportunities facing Nova Scotians experiencing housing sustainability issues and/or persons experiencing homelessness is an asset. Experiencing a large regional team is highly desirable.

Most of your work is in a comfortable, office environment. Some travel is expected to regional areas across the province.

Pay Grade: EC 11
Salary Range: $3,351.92 - $4,189.95 Bi-Weekly
