As a Construction/Maintenance Projects Coordinator student, you will be joining our Network Development - Construction and Acquisition Team. The Acquisition and Construction Team focuses on the development of new retail fueling stations, as well as facilities maintenance for the existing network. You will gain exposure to development projects in various stages (land acquisition, permitting, design, construction) as well as insight into what is required for ongoing operations (maintenance projects, adherence to government regulations).

In this role, you will assist the Project Mangers with various tasks such as: populating equipment and drawing databases, tracking regulatory compliance inspections, tracking action items at team meetings, and reviewing construction drawings/documents.

You may also have the opportunity to visit active construction sites or attend meetings with contractors, consultants and governing bodies.

Your Skills:

  • Ability to make decisions; manage multiple priorities
  • Strong verbal and effective written communication skills
  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Creative thinker; problem solver
  • Knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Experience surveying and plan reading
  • Experience with GIS Mapping and Google Earth Pro
  • Experience with Computer aided drafting and modeling
  • Adobe illustrator/photoshop an asset but not required

Your Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary engineering program with a focus in Civil, Mechanical or Building systems engineering technology program
  • Must have completed at least 1 year of post-secondary education and be returning to school
