We are currently seeking an Engineering Project Manager and an Engineering Project Supervisor to join our Engineering Services group located at our Winnipeg Head Office.
These positions are responsible for the successful management and overall execution of various construction, expansion and / or process improvement projects, based on the corporation's business development strategy and Capital Expenditures plan.
Responsibilities:
Manage budgeting and scope planning for capital and process improvement projects
Prepare, review, and distribute comprehensive bid packages for vendors
Review and provide feedback on detailed process flows / drawings, control system schematics, equipment selection processes and site plans using complex tools (i.e. AutoCAD, Bluebeam, 3D models, etc.);
Maintain a database of vendors, evaluating work quality, safety, and budget
Negotiate contracts with vendors and recommend contract awards
Ensure effective planning, compliance, execution, commissioning, and training for projects
Draft operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations of new or upgraded equipment
Supervise vendors during projects to ensure compliance and review technical documents and schematics
Lead regular meetings with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to monitor project status and ensure budget adherence
Qualifications:
P.Eng (Professional Engineer) or equivalent in mechanical engineering with a minimum 3-5 years' of project management experience
Registered or eligible for registration with an applicable professional body in a mechanical, structural or other relevant discipline (i.e. P. Eng, CET)
Strong project management and negotiation skills with solid technical support for facilities and operations
Experience with local and national-based building, electrical, and fire safety codes
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship skills
Strong leadership skills to collaborate and execute projects effectively
Valid Passport with ability to travel domestically and internationally
Demonstrated mechanical/electrical aptitude in large-scale industrial facilities
