Job Summary:

The Change Management Consultant supports the strategy, planning and implementation of change initiatives within WCB, partnering with the business to achieve desired outcomes.

Job Duties:

Supports the ongoing sustainment of the Change Management function in collaboration with the Manager, Change Management.

Assists in development, communication and implementation of comprehensive engagement and change management strategies; assists impacted stakeholders with navigating the change cycle including awareness, understanding, action and adoption.

Collaborates with key business stakeholders and executives to establish the change management priorities of WCB and ensures that changes are aligned with business objectives.

Acts as a mentor in coaching sponsors, leaders, staff and teams in change management practices/concepts, and in promoting new ways of working to facilitate business outcomes.

Conducts impact analyses, assesses change readiness, identifies impacted key stakeholders, and recommends a mitigation plan to address resistance.

Facilitates change management learning sessions for WCB teams as required.

Creates deliverables and associated action plans based on WCB's Change Management methodology; tracks and mitigates risks and issues, reporting them to the Manager, Change Management in a timely manner.

Supports communication and training efforts related to change management activities and ensures that stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the change process.

Conducts change impact assessments based on WCB's change methodology. Regularly engages with the stakeholder community to assess and report potential change fatigue.

Coordinates and ensures knowledge transfer for change advocates within the stakeholder community. Works closely with the Manager, Change Management to ensure an accurate assessment of the change advocates' skillset.

Assists in the establishment, implementation and improvement of change management standards and resources including but not limited to change management methodologies, terminology, templates and reporting.

Keeps current on trends in change management and business transformation. Maintains current knowledge through research of trends and best practices.

Pursues professional and personal development through continuing education and training, literature reviews, workshops, seminars, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Project Management or a related field

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a change management role

Prosci certified

Knowledge of and ability to apply change management techniques and methodologies such as the Prosci ADKAR Model

Advanced proficiency in the use of personal computer and software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project) in a Windows environment

Ability to adapt to and lead in a changing environment

Ability to prepare and deliver presentations/training

Excellent problem solving and analytical ability

Superior written and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders including the ability to collaborate and influence effectively

Ability to organize and prioritize workload under pressure, within tight deadlines

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) certification is considered an asset

Ability to communicate proficiently in both official languages (English & French) is an asset, but is not required
