What is the opportunity?

As Senior Trust Advisor, Indigenous Wealth, you will act as a key member of the team to achieve business results by identifying, attracting, growing and retaining Indigenous Wealth clients within a specific region. You will also administer a portfolio of trust accounts, ensuring that fiduciary management is executed in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with policies and procedures.

You will act as the regional expert, providing guidance to existing and prospective clients and their advisors, and by sharing best practices with your partners and team.

Please note: We are accepting candidates in Vancouver, Calgary, and Winnipeg

What will you do?

  • Ensure trust administration is carried out in accordance with the terms of governing documents, trust law, relevant legislation and relevant policy and department objectives, while taking into account client needs.
  • Develop and deliver on a business plan and approach within market to attract new business.
  • Ensure strategic objectives are known, reviewed often, and that service is customized to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to taking ownership and accountability in managing client requests.
  • Responsible for the management of a team of administrative professionals.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial services or related industry
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of trust services, and dedication to staying abreast of trust policy, developments, and related issues.
  • Successful completion of (or willing to complete) the Canadian Securities Course

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience working with Indigenous communities and/or matters
  • Previous experience in trust administration
  • Previous experience working with complex legal documents; law degree an asset
  • Previous experience in investment industry
  • Trust and Estate Practitioner ( TEP) designation
  • NATOA Trustee Training - Level One

The expected salary range for the above position is $70,000 - 105,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
