Purpose

We are seeking an Agile IT Project Manager to join our software development team and drive the delivery of high-quality products using Agile methodologies, specifically the Scrum framework. In this role, you will act as a Scrum Master, enabling the team to embrace Agile principles and practices to achieve project goals efficiently.

Key Areas of Accountability

• Facilitate Scrum Processes: Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure the team maintains focus and alignment.

• Manage the Product Backlog: Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize and refine the backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and clarity of requirements.

• Resolve Impediments: Identify and address blockers or challenges that impact the team's progress, promoting a culture of problem-solving.

• Coach and Mentor: Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement by guiding team members in Agile practices, promoting effective communication, and building trust.

• Drive Agile Transformation: Act as a champion for Agile adoption, working with stakeholders across the organization to enhance understanding and integration of Agile principles.

• Ensure Delivery Excellence: Oversee project timelines, manage risks, and ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications / Knowledge

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or in another relevant field.

Experience

• Proven 7+ years of experience as an Agile Project Manager, IT Project Manager or Scrum Master within an IT or software development environment.

• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies.

Skills

• Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with a track record of promoting teamwork and delivering results.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

• Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps).

• Certification in Scrum (e.g., CSM, PSM) or Agile project management is a plus.

Work Environment

• Vancouver-based; hybrid role with minimum 3 Days in office.

Compensation

  • The base salary offered for this role is $105,000 - $120,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
