Purpose

The Senior Project Manager will join the small but vibrant team delivering the Endless Surf Product to multiple in -land surfing facilities around the world. We have an immediate need to immerse this role in our active projects both in the Engineering phase or under construction. The Senior PM will be brought up to speed with the systems in place relevant to the existing Whitewater West Project Management, Accounting and Administrative standards. They will be given the ability to develop Project Management standards specific to the Endless Surf projects. They will liaise with foreign PM's and Site Advisors that are local to the foreign project locations. They will eventually build and manage a dynamic team of PM resources to satisfy the needs of the global projects. The primary focus will be to actively manage and deliver project commitments, adhering to schedules and budgets. Typically, from the end of sales through design/engineering to manufacturing, installation, commissioning/certification to settlement of final accounts. A key role in the growing ES business, this role will have the opportunity to partner in the business development and commercial components of the project process.


Key Responsibilities - What You'll Be Up To
• Managing and overseeing multiple projects for the ES business concurrently, focusing on on-time delivery, minimizing warranty claims through effective quality control, and maximizing margin through cost control and revenue enhancement
• Direct multiple Project Teams of cross functional inter-disciplinary stakeholders to meet the project goals
• Act as the prime point of contact and liaison between the client, and their representatives, and Endless Surf and its partners
• Manage and oversee client relations through the duration of the project lifecycle
• Manage and oversee multiple projects concurrently, focusing on On-Time Delivery, Financial Performance of projects, and Customer Service Excellence. Maximize margin through cost control and revenue enhancement
• Prepare, analyze, review, approve, and manage the execution of project paperwork, including estimating, contracts, project schedules, budgets, invoices, applications for payment, change orders, cost reports, cash flow projections, purchase orders, subcontractor bid documentation, shipping documentation project close-out reports and other paperwork necessary to manage and document projects
• Reviewing and managing internal engineering processes and schedules to meet project specific needs
• Usage of Non-Compliance Reporting (NCR) / Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) procedures
• Manage the timely collection of revenue from clients and monitoring procurement activities
• Update the ES leadership on project variances from established schedules and budgets on a timely basis
• Develop a well-rounded knowledge of products and installation requirements
• Embrace and participate actively in Continuous Improvement and be responsible for safety to ensure best practices are followed
• Forges and maintains strong industry and internal company relationships, across all WhiteWater brands and business units
• Develops and delivers action plans against feedback from the customer ensuring continuous improvements are achieved
• Ensure the ES Business operates in compliance with local, national, and international regulations, including health and safety, labor laws, and industry-specific requirements
• Identify risks associated with operational activities and work with ES management on developing mitigation strategies
• Establish and enforce procedures to ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance in all areas of operations

Qualifications & Experience - Hard Skills Qualify You
• Experience in a Construction Project environment (5-10 years) or equivalent training
• Prior project management experience (5-10 years) and/or related experience with construction management, large construction projects, structural steel, Aquatic Centres or Family Entertainment Centres is considered an asset
• Post-Secondary education in a related field of study; P.Eng Mechanical preferred
• The ability to read engineering drawings for general comprehension and take-offs is essential
• Excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel, SharePoint and MS Project; CAD software skills considered an asset
• Ability to travel on a regular basis and on short notice with overnight stays in hotels, sometimes over weekends when needed
• Demonstrated flexible availability to meet customers' requirements for face-to-face meetings
• Must be legally eligible to enter/work in the USA
