Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated professional to join the Catering Sales team. The successful candidate will focus on driving revenue primarily through weddings, as well as corporate business including lead sourcing and conversion, planning, logistics, and delivering an exceptional guest experience from start to finish. This individual will be comfortable working in a team environment and also demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit as they achieve targets set by the organization.

Essential Job Functions

  • Rigorously apply sales techniques to turn leads into bookings
  • Book and coordinate catering events including food and beverage, activities and infrastructure
  • Conduct site inspections
  • Assist clients with finalizing event details
  • Optimize existing business by promoting and selling add on activities and services
  • Maintain positive and productive relationships with internal and external contacts, accounts and suppliers
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and use feedback to make positive internal changes
  • Ensures the highest level of client satisfaction
  • Other duties as required

Required Qualifications and AbilitieS

  • Experience in weddings and catering preferred
  • Ability to think and act strategically; work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Exceptionally strong oral communication skills; ability to develop rapport and credibility
  • Effective presentation skills and objection handling techniques
  • Ability to work in a high speed and high demand environment, managing the logistics of multiple events simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines
  • Committed work ethic; positive work attitude
  • Creative and motivated individual with a passion for events, sales and guest satisfaction
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Successful completion of post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Knowledge of MS products from Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work evening, weekends and statutory holidays, when required

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000
