We are currently seeking a Regional Change Specialist to join our team.

The Regional Change Specialist works with member facing teams as a two-way conduit to ensure all member support functions appropriately cascade change to the regions as it relates to business as usual (BAU) and core responsibility delivery. This role provides insight into change considerations to ensure alignment to First West (FW) priorities, management policies (including the Change Management policy), frameworks, guidelines, and practices (excluding IT/systems changes). The Regional Change Specialist works with member support teams to identify impacts and risks associated with BAU initiatives and ensures considerations are given to associated controls, reporting requirements, mitigation strategies, communication, training plans and Gateway, so regional Presidents and Directors can lead through the successful implementation, adoption and sustainment of FW prioritized initiatives. As part of the Member & Advisory Experience team, this role collaborates and aligns to shared team, regional and FW priorities and purpose.

Here's what would be included as a part of your typical day

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivates and sustains strong relationships with business partners and member-support teams and acts as a conduit to Presidents and Directors, supporting their execution of prioritized initiatives, lending to adoption and sustainment. Supports Gateway (FW's capacity calendar tool) through advocacy of the business by identifying opportunities (skill development, business acumen, alignment to strategy), acknowledging and understanding organizational capacity, level of change and desired communications needs.
  2. Business Process Design: Responds to business owners and partners across the organization to offer perspective through the planning, design, development, implementation plans and desired adoption of a new or enhanced business process. Understands and applies in depth knowledge of the change management framework and applies critical thinking to ensure business processes bring value.
  3. Member-Support Team Collaboration: Contributes to member-facing team deliverables by observing, participating and offering recommendations to influence the achievement of desired outcomes.
  4. Team Member Experience: Triages barriers identified by Presidents & Directors, ensuring the rightful owners/experts are aware of impact through documented sharing and follow up (opportunity assessments).
  5. Enterprise Initiatives: Supports and responds to FW prioritized initiatives and delivers to desired outcomes, including Gateway and Cross Pod Risk Review. Works closely with member support teams including Agile squads on impact assessments to fully understand the scope of change. Accountable for effective and sustained implementation of Change, following and utilizing all FW change management framework, tools, resources etc. Represents member-facing teams by articulating how the change will be adopted and sustained.
  6. Other Duties as required with guidance and direction of Senior Manager, Member & Advisory Experience.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in related discipline required
  • 4 - 6 years related assistant or branch management experience required
  • Change Management Certification
  • Strong sales and advisory expertise and business acumen
  • Effective communication (both verbal and written), coaching capability, demonstrated leadership, ability to provide feedback and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to be flexible and adapt to change
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong negotiations skills and results-oriented
  • Advanced knowledge of the concepts, theories, practices and techniques of business operations, change management.
  • Effective leadership and support capability (ie: Gateway)
  • Proven ability in the identification of strategies to ensure successful change optimization, ie: change management plan development
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Content development & creation
  • Proficient with software applications for reporting & tracking purposes e.g., CRM, MS Office, Teams, One Note, Excel, Dev Ops, Employee Centre
