About the Opportunity: The Engineering Department is seeking a motivated individual to fill a full-time regular Project Coordinator position. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Engineering Department with the delivery and implementation of engineering projects such as active transportation, inflow and infiltration and involves activities such as project planning, design and construction coordination, interaction with the public, and change management to ensure effective project management. Our Preferred Candidate: The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent, registration in the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC, a class 5 BC driver's licence, and 5 years of progressive experience in a municipal or similar environment. This position is best suited for candidates with expert knowledge and understanding of all aspects of surveying, civil engineering design, active transportation design, databases, and permanent records management. The ability to read, interpret, review and correct engineering plans and drawings. Working level knowledge of computerized drafting applications. Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with the public in a courteous and tactful manner. As well as the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
