Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Land Development team, based in Calgary, AB office and have the opportunity to work with a great team. Lead the design process and provide design oversight for complex Land Development projects including large scale residential, industrial, and commercial developments in and around Calgary.


What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Provide road and utility design solutions and input on the design process for key complex projects, including providing support to Project Managers and other design team members
  • Coordinate design and field staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating, and reviewing work done by staff
  • Write and sign reports or drawings as required
  • Supervise/mentor and provide Quality Control for designs, specifications, and contract documents
  • Monitor project schedule and budgets and report status to the Project Manager on a regular basis
  • Liaise with clients, municipal approving authorities and contractors
  • Pursue obtaining all necessary approvals and permits for projects, including those from municipalities and provincial agencies
  • Participate in business development efforts including writing and pricing proposal efforts, securing new projects/clients, as needed

What your experience looks like

  • 3-5 years of experience in the Land Development industry
  • Strong working knowledge and extensive experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to Project Management is an asset
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft software applications
  • Strong detail orientation
  • Organized, works well under pressure and able to deal with situations with tact
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle is required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teams
  • Ability to multi-task, must enjoy meeting deadlines
  • Customer service oriented
