Your Role

As a Project Logistics Business Development Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our business growth initiatives. Your primary focus will be on cultivating relationships with strategic customers in industries such as oil & gas, mining, industrial manufacturing, and energy. This role requires a proactive approach to creating and implementing business plans, aligning with cross-functional teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction. With opportunities to lead tender management processes and strategic market analysis, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our project's logistics operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business plans aligned with gross profit targets for the Project Logistics department.
  • Serve as the strategic point of contact for Project Logistics solutions, coordinating with Kuehne+Nagel Project Managers and Business Unit Managers.
  • Maintain strong communication channels with strategic customers and internal teams to ensure operational alignment with expectations.
  • Conduct frequent strategic market analyses to identify growth opportunities.
  • Own and lead Requests for Information/Quotation (RFI/Q) for assigned bids.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with pricing desks and global tender teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at all levels within strategic customer organizations.
  • Conduct structured business reviews to foster innovation and drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary escalation point and support for delivering complex capital projects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market opportunities, and best practices to inform strategic direction.
  • Continuously enhance personal knowledge and skills in project logistics

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Minimum of 5 years in a Project Logistics environment, including project planning, KPI development, and execution.
  • Experience with turnkey owner/EPC project planning and execution.
  • In-depth understanding of multi-modal transportation in a project logistics setting.
  • Diploma in business, engineering, trade, or transport-related fields required.
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Strong public speaking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
